Happy Friday!! Links to Love...

image courtesy of legends of america

Yep, that's right, I'm in Pasadena! Flew in VERY early this morning. Brad (that fantastic husband of mine) is down here for work so I decided to join him! We're here for the night while our little guy is tucked safely at home with his Mimi. A little shopping and wandering all by myself followed by a nice little dinner for two....that's the plan for the day.

So wow, Friday again? This week seemed to fly by...hope you all had a great one. Time for our second weekly links to love...

Starting your Spring cleaning? Check out the blog Simplified Bee for 5 steps to organize your pantry.

Thanks to OhDeeDoh - an adorable game for kids called Story Starters

Are you in the same boat as me and starting up your own business? Here's a great resource.

And my dream home is always worth another look - check it out here

HAPPY FRIDAY!! Have a fantastic weekend.

Stella and Dot anyone?

Heading to my first Stella and Dot party this evening! Anyone ever been to one? What do you think? I'm looking forward to chatting with my friends and checking out some fun jewels. From browsing online, here's what I have my eye on...

Really wanting a fun cocktail ring, I love these two...

And here's that necklace I want for my beach outfit

Wouldn't mind some earrings either!

I'll let you know how it goes!! Till then...
HAPPY THURSDAY!

More from Target...

After my frame find in a nearby Target store, I wanted to see if I could find them online too (for my Canadian friend, thank you for the comment!) Unfortunately, I don't think they are online, I searched with no luck! BUT I did find some really fun things that I want to share!! So here you go, my Target round up...all available online now!

Hand painted chargers from Thomas O'Brien

For $29.99 this is a nice little take on the starburst mirror

And in need of a fun, acrylic tray? Perfect for a family room coffee table...durable and easy to wipe...for any little hands that may be around (see how my mind works now?)

Has anyone ordered furniture from Target? Looks like they have some great options! I've seen these beds before and I'm always tempted. I'm dying for an upholstered bed for my currently naked cal king...I'll even take just the headboard! Would love to hear if anyone has had good/bad experiences with Target furniture...

And some very cool ottomans!! There were a lot more so trust me just go check them out! All priced pretty well, they'd make a fun statement piece for your living room.
And I'm loving these little cubes. I think two in front of my fireplace would add a great accent! Not to mention extra seating in a pinch.
Find them all here. Also, there are tons of chair options in these fun fabrics too! Find those here.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Target find

How cute are these? Fun colors, great patterns and a little glossy. All three for $16 and change at Target. They also had a ton of other colors. There was a black and white diagonal striped one that I was eyeing too. Maybe I'll go back?

Just had to share.

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Dream Home Found.

Thanks to Erin at Elements of Style I've found my dream home. And thanks to Caitlin Creer's blog because that's where Erin found it....and a BIG thank you to Kimberly Elizabeth Designs because that's who designed it. The blog world gets complicated, right? But seriously, how can you not drool at these pictures?

Love those pops of yellow and turquoise.

Um, can I please throw my holiday dinners at this table? And then casually swing open those french doors so guests can meander, champagne in hand? Pretty please?

I have white artichoke ceramics just like those in my house. Something tells me these aren't from Home Goods though....

Nailhead trim on these cabinets!

Oh and that holiday dinner? Here's where I'm going to cook it....

Yes, I know I showed you this picture already...but I think it's worth one more look.

And after that said holiday dinner I plan to relax here...drink a glass of wine and just smile because I'm so darn smitten with this house.

Oh and I have a little table just like that one above, also from Home Goods...see, it's meant to be, right? These images are now burned into my mind and I'm now off to wander my house to see how I can possibly make it look more like this.

HAPPY MONDAY!

Happy Friday!! Links to Love...

Hi all...don't you feel like the blog/internet world is just endless and you'll never be able to find all of the cool things, let alone read/do all of those said cool things? Well, that's how I feel, for sure. Here's my small little attempt to take control of this situation. Every Friday I plan to post links to articles, projects, recipes, inspirational photos...well really whatever has caught my eye that week! Hope you enjoy.

Thanks to Decorno: Love that picture above? It was taken by Paul Costello. His advice on how to take better pictures is here.

Pixie Dust, a personal favorite of mine for children's fabrics, recently released this fantastically pink creation called Bon Bon.

Thanks to Oh Dee Doh and Vintage Chica: Have fun and create 'word clouds' with Wordie

In the market for a new mirror? Find a huge selection here.

Or how about a vintage poster? Find those here.

And last but certainly not least...take some time this weekend to bake these and enjoy them with your family.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Yippeee Yippeee! Pretty Smitten was featured on Project Nursery yesterday! I have been reading their fabulous site for a long time now, so it is such a thrill to see my little shop as one of their fabulous finds! I am feeling very loved this week! First the write up on The Bright Side Project, which by the way there is still time to enter the giveaway, do it here. And now Pam at Project Nursery has this to say...

I still can’t get enough of my favorite geometric prints. I simply love the Greek key, chevron and bold dots. Then throw in some sparkle and I’ve just died and gone to heaven. This is the specialty du jour at Etsy shop Pretty Smitten. They create fabulous modern, stylish stationery, birth announcements, party invites and other sweet party papers and gift items.

That's just a snippet, read the rest here.

Thanks for the love!

Ready for the BEACH

Anyone get the Boden catalogues? The Spring 2010 catalogue arrived in the mail last week and I had a chance to flip through it over the weekend. There's one earmarked page that I just had to share! We're heading to Hawaii in April and this printed tunic definitely hits the mark.

By day I see these over my bathing suit with some flip flops

By night? Dress it up with some fun jewels and wedges.

Now since a large portion of the country is still covered in snow and my Hawaii trip isn't for a few more months...lets all dream, shall we? How about we go here? AMAZING.

Okay hope you all enjoyed my virtual beach day.

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!

Pretty Smitten featured on The Bright Side Project!

I am so excited to share that Pretty Smitten is featured on The Bright Side Project this week!! If you've never heard of this website, you must check it out! They host daily giveaways for some amazing products. This week I'm happy to be part of their happiness bringing website. Up for grabs is a set of folded note cards...so didn't win them with our last giveaway? Try again! Enter here.

And I must say, it just gives me the warm and fuzzies to read what Miss Krista wrote about Pretty Smitten. Here's what she had to say...

I understand turquoise is THE color for 2010. I don’t know about you, but turquoise (although beautiful and always in my heart) was my color last year. This year is beginning to show herself as moss green. Elizabeth Johnson feels my pain. Johnson is the face behind Pretty Smitten, a company that specializes in personalized stationary, party papers and gift items. Don’t be fooled by knock-offs, either. Pretty Smitten’s signature mini Swarovski crystals adorn their paper products, separating them from the crowd. Gorgeous prints and graphics, a vast array of colors AND sparkle? Yes, please.

I am currently in the process of teaching my two year old daughter the art of a good “Thank You” card. What is more perfect than personalized Kid’s Note Cards, with her choice of design and color? Absolutely nothing is more perfect than that. Johnson has raised the bar as far as I’m concerned. She has married form and function in a way that makes me, well, yes, it makes me smitten. I’m also thinking of buying myself a You Are My Sunshine poster in, you guessed it, moss green. Le sigh.

Thank you Krista and good luck everyone!

HAPPY MONDAY!
