In my post last Friday I mentioned how I was rushed finishing it up because I had to make oatmeal for my son. Aubrey from All Things Bright and Beautiful commented that she loved the way I was keeping it real and it got me thinking...do you ever read blogs and think, wow they just have the perfect life? Living in beautiful houses, wearing fantastic clothing, DIY projects galore, cooking up all kinds of goodies...and oh yes, having time to blog!! Well I must admit, I feel that way sometimes! Now don't get me wrong, I love those blogs. And I love my life and feel very blessed for what I have...family, friends, a home I love and a business I'm passionate about, but I think everyone has those days when...
The dog just won't stop barking
You burn simple white rice
Your hair has been in a twist knot for days
Annie's Mac and Cheese will just have to be okay for dinner that night
You drink more coffee then water
And you just don't have time to finish your blog posting!
So there it is, a little bit of real life. I think I'll try and incorporate that more into my blog posts. I know I'd love to see some of the trials and tribulations other women face...seems like a lot of us are doing the same things...raising our babies, keeping up with the house (and trying to make it beautiful!), enjoying life with our husbands, finding time for friends, and also trying succeed at our own passions. And while we love all of that, there are bound to be a few bumps in the road, right? So hope you don't mind hearing about mine!
